We did it!!!

This past Sunday 19 Elul / 14 September a group of learners came together to learn ALL OF SHAS, all two thousand seven hundred and eleven pages of the Talmud Bavli.

The event was breathtaking!  From all walks of life, young and old, black, white and all shades in between, we were united in our determination to make a real difference and counter the darkness of the world around us with the light of Torah.

We did this in support of a tremendously important charity, A T.I.M.E., an organisation dedicated to the support and guidance of couples who are yearning for the blessing of children.  This charity complements and enhances the sterling work done by other important organisation active in this field.  It is of course endorsed by authoritative rabbinical leaders but, even more importantly, it benefits from genuinely supportive spiritual guidance needed in this field which is so much in need of ultrasensitivity.  Couples who have to go through this test of faith assure us that “you have no idea”.

And truly we don’t.

But what we do have is the simple obligation to support them.  I did that by joining the Shas-a-thon, the unique event of a Siyum haShas in one single day!  With G-d’s help I learned with my chevrusa one perek – some twelve “blatt”.

I did not do this for nothing!  I was supported by many friend but I still need your support to fulfill my fundraising goal.
